Heute wurde das Ergebnis des Wettbwerbs für den Neubau des Eisrings Süd im 10. Wiener Gemeindebezirk präsentiert. Das Siegerteam besteht aus dem Büro Hermann & Valentiny und Partner, Architekt Podsedensek ZT GmbH für die Sportstätten und Handelsflächen und DI Jakob Fina für die Landschaftsplanung.
An Areal des Eisrings sollen neben einer neuen Eishalle auch Wohnungen und ein Einkaufszentrum entstehen. Direkt an der Raxtrasse entsteht das Einkaufszentrum, Dann folgt die Eis- und Sporthalle und in Richtung der bestehenden Wohnbebauung Richtig Triester Straße entstehen Wohnungen, die in einem Bezug zum Wasserturm stehen.
